ONE WEEK!

Entourage, my favourite television show of all time (I know I say this about every tv show, but this is legitimitely my number one. end of story. ) is starting its final season a week from today. *tear* I’ve been re-watching all past seasons to amp myself up for it

Let’s hope it’s got a season 1, 3, or even 6 kind of vibe to it. They have such an incredible, loyal fanbase so I’m really hoping for the show to go out with a bang, and pay tribute to what got them such a strong viewership to begin with.

Now I’m off to go watch the 30 min retrospective that HBO has on their website about the last 7 seasons.

Kreayshawn + Lil Debbie - how my love has just skyrocketed

So last night I came home from an afternoon of sightseeing in Paris, to open up my twitter page. I follow both Lil Debbie and Kreayshawn, and was floored to see that they had performed in an art club space only a few hours ago (This is what not having my BB does! I see messages late!) Of course so upset that I missed the performance, I began mad searching with my friend Jackie for any possible afterpary/places she would be at next.

Not only was she hosting an afterparty that night, it was at a club only a few blocks away! I have to say, I was super skeptical when we got there. There was no signage and looked just like a tiny little pub on Ossington or something but with less people. There was no way that this was the place….untill crazy awesome hipster types (and I do mean crazy awesome, it was like a latf convention) kept going near the washrooms and disappearing.

We needed to investigate, so Jackie followed a group down a few flights of stairs to what I had originally thought was a door to go back outside …. into this crazy awesome brick lined pink neon light metal ceiling hipster paradise. Also - in Paris, American 90’s hip hip is considered super hipster and uber cool. I guess the same way American hipsters are all over French indie pop?

kreayshawn and lil debbie were in the corner just chilling out untill it was announced they were going to perform! There was no stage so they literally just jumped onto their chairs and started rapping! The whole room (which was small, I grant you) knew all the words which was sick, “got swag pumping out my ovaries”. AMAZING live performers

I was determined to meet them, so in a rush of adrenaline after the show I went and talked to both. I’ve seen a few celebrities but none have had me this over the top excited. Maybe because they’re youtbe sensations, insanely talanted, still fresh…and so close! like if I extended my hand during the performance I could have held the mike. Not only did I have a conversation with both, but pictures also. Amazing amazing amazing night. Can’t wait to hear more from whatever white girl mob comes up with next.

I saw this video this morning, while the first 1:20 minutes or so are admittedly cheesy and very acceptance - PSA like, I love the remainder. The music, the dancing, the art…coming together extraordinarily well to display the virtues of love, acceptance and peace. It made me smile, hope you do too :)

The idea of this film fascinates me to no end. What a brilliant idea, have thousands of people capture moments of their day (one specific day mind you) and then weave together the story of one day, 24 hours, across Planet Earth. It’s so beautiful.

Perhaps, to some, it might come off as an overreaching attempt to be inspirational. Yet I think that capturing the little moments, despite the naivete of it all- that “everything is all right” - brings comfort and one more smile. Cheesy, yes - but God I really do want to watch it.
